Carbon Offset

The "Summary" sheet presents the total emissions for all the recorded journeys in 2025, which amounts to 4,874.19 Kg CO2e. This significant figure represents the collective environmental impact of the transport activities for all the journeys that happened this year. To put this into perspective, the average passenger vehicle emits around 4.6 metric tons (4,600 Kg) of CO2 per year. Therefore, the total emissions from these journeys are roughly equivalent to the annual emissions of one passenger vehicle.

While the "Environmental Cost" figure of 1,561.95 is directly associated with the emissions, it is not a carbon offset. Instead, it can be considered a donation to local high-impact conservation projects. Broken down by Journey and by Passenger, our accounting allows every visitor to donate their share of the environmental cost associated to their travel back to the conservation-focused projects happening in the areas they visited.
